Water Resources Engineer
Tomo Engineering is seeking a highly motivated Water Resources Engineer with 1-3 years of experience, ideally, to join our dynamic team and help us solve complex water challenges. This role is perfect for an engineer who wants broad exposure and a chance to get their hands on a variety of challenging projects across the region. Responsibilities
Assist in the design and analysis of storm drainage features and related infrastructure.
Support the preparation of drawings, plans, and specifications.
Perform basic hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and modeling under direct supervision.
Aid in the development of project documentation and technical reports.
Communicate with team members to ensure alignment on project tasks and deadlines.
Learn and apply company and industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Support project work by organizing and maintaining project files and data.
Requirements
Understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles.
0-5 years (ideally 1-3 years) of experience of water resources experience.
Basic proficiency with engineering design software (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD).
Eagerness to learn and develop problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
Location
We believe that competent and motivated individuals can work anywhere there is an internet connection. While being based in the Raleigh/Durham area is preferred, we are open to considering fully remote opportunities.
