Trent Cormier
Owner, Lead Engineer
Trent, an NC State Engineering grad with 20 years of experience, is the founder of Tomo Engineering. His work in transportation engineering has focused on hydraulic design and erosion & sediment control design.
For the past 3 years, he’s been responsible for completing numerous GESC Hydraulic and ROW reviews for Divisions 8 and 10. Prior to that, he was a reviewer under contract with both the NCDOT Hydraulics and Design Build Units to review and evaluate pre-construction projects.
Trent’s work has taken him across state lines From Virginia and Tennessee to Mississippi and Arkansas, all while focusing on a variety of project types.
His experience, both functionally and as a manager, has positioned him to be an insightful and knowledgeable asset and is a great addition to any project.
Andy Howell
Water Resources Engineer
Since 2005, Andy has focused his work on Roadway Hydraulic Design and related projects. He’s served on numerous projects as a Manager, Designer, Project Engineer, Discipline Lead, and Quality Control Lead.
His experience has also extensively covered complex Major Highway and Controlled Access Highway Design. Additionally, he is an expert in hydraulic bridge design and FEMA Coordination.
Throughout all of his work, Andy has also been responsible for the supervision and training of other engineers and technicians.
Jacqui Slawson
Project Accountant
Since 2009, Jacqui has focused her work within the transportation and civil engineering services field. She is a professional with progressive experience and accomplishments in the areas of accounting, financial reporting, departmental analysis and audits for both profit and non-profit national and regional organizations. Throughout her career she has served as an Accounting Manager, Lead Accountant and Controller throughout the Raleigh area.
Tyler Overby
Water Resources Engineer
With over 10 years of experience in the transportation engineering field, Tyler brings a deep understanding of hydraulic design and analysis for roadway drainage systems, bridge crossings, and culverts. Throughout his career, he served as a Designer, Project Engineer, Task Manager, and Project Manager—leading projects across North Carolina and South Carolina with precision and commitment. Tyler is a proud graduate of NC State College of Engineering.
Hillary Millen
Engineer
Hillary brings over eight years of diverse experience in transportation engineering. Her expertise primarily focuses on traffic analysis, traffic safety, and transportation planning. She has expanded her experience into water resources focusing on drainage facility design and plan production. She is a graduate from NC State College of Engineering.
Kevin Williams
Senior Hydraulic Engineer
Kevin has a total of 39 years of civil and hydraulic engineering experience. His hydraulic engineering experience includes hydraulic design and analysis of bridge and culvert crossings; analysis of roadway open shoulders; curb and gutter sections; box culverts; storm drainage design; fluvial geomorphology. It also includes preparation of FEMA flood modification reports for public and private clients and design and implementation of stormwater wetlands and stormwater sand filter infiltration systems. He also has extensive experience in natural channel design. He is a graduate from NC State College of Engineering.
Ariana Inmon
Engineer
Ariana is a recent graduate from the University of Illinois where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Her experience includes an internship with the US Army Corps of Engineers focusing on transforming waste into energy. She is new to the industry and excited to develop a deeper understanding of water resources.
